Your Future Is Waiting on a Fight

Preaching from Genesis 32:24–31 in a men’s mental health month series, Pastor shows how Jacob’s all-night wrestle with God pictures the inner battle between who we are and who God is calling us to be.  He explains that some breakthroughs don’t come by age or convenience but by facing ourselves in seasons of isolation, confronting the patterns and personas we’ve used to avoid our true identity.  As Jacob moves from trickster to Israel, Pastor urges men to stop normalizing dysfunction, admit who they really are before God, and hold on through the struggle until transformation comes—even if it leaves a limp.  Listeners are reminded that their destiny will not arrive without a fight, but on the other side of the wrestle is a new name, a new walk, and a future they can finally grow into.
