Surviving conflict-related sexual violence is only the beginning of a long journey. Beyond emergency medical care, survivors need justice, psychosocial support, safe spaces and opportunities to rebuild their lives. Yet many continue to face stigma, limited services and barriers to reporting abuse. On this edition of Nationwide, Gabriel Shadar is joined by Josephine Chandiru, Executive Director of Global Voices Organisation, David Ashley, the United Kingdom Ambassador to South Sudan and Beya M'bokolo, Women's Protection Advisor at UNMISS. Together, they examine the gaps in survivor support, why accountability is essential to ending impunity, and what governments, communities and partners can do to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity.
