Cindy Anthony called 911 and said the car smelled like a dead body. Then she spent three years walking it back. On the witness stand, she told the jury the words were just an expression. She described removing Caylee’s doll from the car and spraying it with Febreze. A mother who knew what she smelled tried to un-know it under oath.

George and Cindy held together through the investigation and the trial. Casey’s defense accused George of covering up Caylee’s death and worse. He denied all of it. After the acquittal, Casey cut contact. Years later, she accused her father publicly. George says he’d still welcome her back.

This is the only episode in the series where the family’s loyalty broke. Not because the evidence cracked it. Because the person they were protecting turned around and used them as the shield.
