Here's something I wish someone had told me sooner: forgiving someone and your body no longer reacting to them are two completely different things. You can sincerely release someone from what they owe you and still tense up when you hear their name. That's not bitterness. That's memory.
In this episode, I'm getting honest about how scripture on forgiveness is often used in ways that create more shame than freedom, what forgiveness actually is and isn't, and why your nervous system responding to old pain doesn't mean your heart is in the wrong place.
