We are delivered from self when we focus on Jesus and become Christ-occupied. A very practical spiritual exercise is to focus on Jesus in the Word. Be consumed with the Redeemer versus focusing on Jesus making your life easier. We need to be occupied with Him and allow everything to revolve around Him as He takes center place in our lives.
