Welcome to Reddit After Dark — where we break down the internet’s messiest stories and get real about what’s actually going on.

Tonight’s stories? Absolute chaos:

• A boyfriend suggests opening the relationship… then calls his girlfriend a cheater when she actually sees other people
• A dependable daughter learns her parents plan to leave almost everything to her absent older sister, while expecting her to handle all their finances, medical decisions and future care

We’re talking communication, double standards, family favoritism and what happens when being “the responsible one” starts feeling like a punishment.

My take? You cannot create vague relationship rules and rewrite them later and being dependable does not mean your family is entitled to your time, energy and labor.

Now I need your take:

Did she cheat, or did her boyfriend change the rules when the open relationship stopped working in his favor?

Was the younger daughter justified in stepping back or should caregiving and inheritance be treated as completely separate issues?
