The fifth instalment of our wall-to-wall, behind-the-scenes look at Paul Seixas’s début Tour de France begins where Seixas’s love affair with cycling and the Tour also started, in Magland, just a few kilometres from the stage 15 finish on the Plateau de Solaison. 

It was indeed an intense and emotional few days for the 19-year-old, as Daniel Friebe reports in this episode. As always, we hear from team-mates, coaches and opponents, as Seixas underlines his credentials as the man most likely to end Tadej Pogačar’s reign. Of course no one is any closer to knowing when that will be, or indeed how Pogačar will fall or abdicate.
