Where Arianna Jones' Date Went Before The Movie

A first date. A movie. Two souvenir cups. And a shallow desert grave north of Phoenix that was allegedly dug before the opening credits rolled. Arianna Bailey Jones was twenty-one, a mother of a two-year-old, and she'd just reconnected with her biological mom after eighteen years apart. On July 5, 2026, she went out with a man named Domonic Rodolico. He picked her up. They went to Harkins Theatre. Cameras caught them leaving. Then cell phone data tracked both phones into a remote stretch of desert near Lake Pleasant — and forty-five minutes later, Arianna's phone went silent.
Investigators pulled Rodolico's location history and discovered he'd visited that same desert area multiple times before the date even started. At the scene: concrete bags, mix, gloves, water bottles — the equipment the affidavit calls evidence of a "well-planned" murder. Rodolico gave detectives four different stories. Each one fell apart. He admitted the last one wasn't true. He's now charged with first-degree premeditated murder and held on two million dollars bond.
Arianna's mother Sophia spent the week after her disappearance handing out flyers, hoping she was alive. The family is now pushing for the death penalty. A two-year-old boy lost his mother to what prosecutors say was a first date planned around a killing. This is the first time we're covering Arianna's case — the full story from the beginning.
