Breathing in the Dark | Real Ghost Stories

The house was brand new, so strange noises were easy to dismiss at first.

But one night, after waking to the sound of loud, steady breathing, a young boy assumed it was his little brother sleeping nearby. When he looked, the crib was empty. The breathing continued anyway.

He searched every corner of the room until he realized the sound was coming from the foot of his bed. There was no one there.

A week later, his parents woke to the exact same sound in their own bedroom. They searched the room just as he had, and the moment they announced that nothing was there...the breathing stopped.

Whatever was making that sound has never been explained.
