Luca's Heart Journey: A Family Fighting Together

Tonight, I’ll introduce you to little Luca and his grandmother, Elena Oliver Terry.

Luca is only four months old and was born with complex congenital heart disease, including tricuspid atresia with D-transposition of the great arteries. In his first few months of life, he has already spent significant time in the hospital, and his family knows this will be a lifelong heart journey involving specialized care, procedures & surgeries.

Luca and his parents live in Oklahoma, while Elena is here in Alabama trying to do everything she can from hundreds of miles away. She has organized a yard sale, made shirts, and started a fundraiser to help her son and his family with medical expenses, medication, travel & transportation needs.
Tonight, Elena will share Luca’s story, what this young family is facing and why she is determined to do whatever she can to help her grandson.
