Folkestone Mum on maternity gets August's £1000 Friday call

Folkestone listener celebrates back-to-school season with £1,000 win on kmfm's Thousand Pound Friday

Jade Britcher from Folkestone couldn’t believe it when presenter Ben Pearce called during kmfm's Getting You Home to reveal that she had won £1,000.

The mum who is currently on maternity leave admitted it had been a struggle financially over the summer and was going to celebrate with a takeaway tonight before looking at a holiday and some back to school items for her other children. 

Jade is the latest winner of kmfm's Thousand Pound Friday competition, giving listeners across Kent the chance to win a £1,000 cash prize every month.

Thousand Pound Friday has awarded more than £100,000 to listeners across Kent over the years. Entries open from 6pm every Thursday for 24 hours, with one lucky winner chosen at random each month.
