FEATURE | Wrestling Arena in South Sudan - Where Strength Meets Peace

In Lakes State, traditional wrestling is quite a test of strength and courage. Peace tournaments are bringing rival cattle-keeping communities together, giving young people a space to compete, celebrate their culture and build relationships without violence. Families, children and spectators gather to watch the contests, dance and reconnect with community life. However, as changing lifestyles reshape society, cultural leaders warn that traditional practices need deliberate efforts to survive.
