It's a New Day: 9-2-26 Senatobia Police Chief Fired

Amid the investigation into the officer-involved shooting death of 1 year-old Kohen Wiley, who was shot by a Senatobia police officer in a Walmart parking lot as the baby sat in his mother's lap, Senatobia's Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to terminate Chief Harold Vanderford following reports of racist text messages. Vanderford had attempted to resign, the board rejected his resignation and voted instead to fire the police chief.
