The Lady of the Dunes: The Woman Behind the Mystery | True Crime Sleep Stories

For nearly 50 years, the identity of a woman found murdered in the dunes of Provincetown, Massachusetts, remained a mystery. Known only as the “Lady of the Dunes,” investigators searched for decades to discover who she was, & who was responsible for her death.

In 2022, advances in genetic genealogy finally gave her back her name: Ruth Marie Terry.

Tonight, we explore Ruth’s life, the decades-long investigation, and the discovery that finally brought one of Cape Cod’s biggest mysteries to a close.
