D4vd property transfers — Burke's former financial manager testified to earnings exceeding ten million dollars. In October 2025, Burke transferred two Texas homes into his mother's name — weeks after fourteen-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez's remains were discovered. The manager testified he advised those transfers to shield assets.

On September 8, 2026, Celeste's parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit naming Burke alongside his mother Colleen Burke, manager Josh Marshall, security guard Sheldon Jacques, and business entities. Twelve causes of action. The family alleges Burke used his wealth to gain access to a minor and the adults around him failed to intervene.

Burke fired his legal team and now uses a public defender. He is held without bail.

Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer analyzes the financial trail and what this lawsuit could mean for the criminal case.
