Elisha Trask grew up surrounded by homelessness, addiction, and abuse. When she was six years old, she prayed for help during a terrifying encounter with her father—and saw two men dressed in white appear behind him.
That moment taught Elisha that she could call on God.
Years later, urgent spiritual impressions would lead her to pray for her son while he was in danger on a mountain, find her toddler moments before a devastating fall, lock a door just before someone tried to enter, and offer messages of love to strangers carrying private grief.
Elisha also shares how Jesus Christ helped her break the cycle of abuse—not by instantly removing every harmful impulse, but by giving her the opportunity to choose a different response.
