D4vd's Bodyguard Was Allegedly Doing WHAT?!

The wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Celeste Rivas Hernandez against D4vd goes far beyond the artist himself. The complaint names his personal manager, his day-to-day manager who lived at the same residence, his mother Colleen Burke, his recording company, and his publishing company. Each is accused of playing a role in what the family alleges was a system of concealment.

The lawsuit describes a bodyguard who allegedly drove Celeste back and forth to Burke's Hollywood Hills home. It describes a concealed phone Burke allegedly provided to maintain contact without her parents' knowledge. It describes company funds allegedly used for the house and the security that kept the arrangement hidden.

David Anthony Burke faces criminal charges of first-degree murder, ongoing illegal conduct with a person under 14, and mutilation of remains. Prosecutors allege the relationship began in November 2023 when Celeste was 13. Her remains were found in the trunk of Burke's Tesla at a Hollywood impound lot in September 2025. She was 14.

Burke's former legal team, including celebrity attorney Blair Berk, withdrew from the criminal case before his arraignment. He is now represented by a public defender. He has pleaded not guilty.

The lawsuit does not specify a damages amount, asking instead for the figure to be determined at trial.
