Mica Miller Died — Then JP Married a Woman Whose Husband Also Died

Mica Miller died in April 2024. Chris Skinner drowned in September 2021. Both were married to people who are now married to each other. JP Miller and Suzie Skinner wed in June 2025, fourteen months after Mica's death and less than four years after Chris's.

Miller faces federal charges of cyberstalking and false statements stemming from the alleged harassment of Mica from November 2022 until her death. He has pleaded not guilty and denies the allegations. Mica's death was ruled a suicide. Chris Skinner's drowning was ruled accidental. Miller has not been charged in connection with either death. His trial is scheduled for October 2026.

Chris Skinner was a US Army veteran who became quadriplegic after a car accident and went on to become a motivational speaker. He was found unresponsive in a neighborhood pool. Surveillance footage reportedly showed his wheelchair reaching the pool's edge before entering the water. His family has publicly raised concerns about the circumstances, and the investigation was reportedly reopened.

Friends alleged in the Netflix docuseries that Miller and Suzie were involved before their respective spouses died. Miller denies an affair, claiming they began dating in January 2025. Suzie's testimony in a civil case reportedly placed the relationship earlier.
