Caleb Flynn's Lawyers Put WHAT on the Table First?!

Caleb Flynn's lawyers decided jurors would hear about the affair from the defense before it became a prosecution ambush. Emily Smith opened with Proverbs, acknowledged Flynn's infidelity and lies, and argued that being a bad husband does not answer the murder charge. The defense is betting that candor on the marriage creates room to fight everything else. 

Everything else begins with Flynn's intruder account. He says someone stole his 9mm handgun from his Ford truck and entered the Tipp City home before Ashley Flynn was killed. Prosecutors allege the break-in was staged and Flynn was responsible. The missing firearm remains a central gap the defense continues to emphasize. 

Ohio BCI Special Agent David Hammond testified that he found no signs of forced entry at the garage door Flynn identified as the entry point. On cross, the defense focused on the unlocked locks and limits in Hammond's ability to date the damage around that door. 

The personal side of the case is headed to the witness stand too. The woman prosecutors connect to Flynn's alleged affair is expected to testify. Flynn's daughters are also witnesses, with the judge restricting video of the juveniles but allowing audio recording of their testimony. 

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer examine whether the defense can admit the betrayal without letting prosecutors turn it into the whole story. The trial record also changes how one early visual is read: the towel over Ashley's head came after Flynn said the 911 dispatcher told him to place it there. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
