Caleb Flynn’s Private Messages Said WHAT Before 911?!

Before Caleb Flynn called 911, prosecutors say his private messages had already documented a year-long affair and repeated anger toward his wife Ashley. After 2:30 a.m. on February 16, 2026, Caleb told dispatch that somebody had broken into the Flynn home and shot Ashley. He said she had two shots to the head and directed attention toward the garage while officers were still on the way. 

The prosecution is now pairing that call with more than 100,000 messages it says Caleb exchanged with another woman. In opening statements, prosecutor Paul Watkins quoted messages allegedly sent by Caleb about thinking of ways to kill Ashley without going to jail and saying he would kill her "in a heartbeat" if he could avoid hell.

 Prosecutors argue those messages help establish motive and intent. The defense concedes the affair and the damaging language but says neither proves Caleb committed the killing. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. 

Tony Brueski and former FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke examine the two records side by side: the emergency call Caleb knew was being recorded and the private messages prosecutors say he never expected a jury to read. Robin discusses the call's cadence, Caleb's account that he froze after hearing gunfire, and his repeated intruder framing without treating any single verbal cue as a lie detector. 

The central fight is simple enough for a jury to understand and hard enough to decide: what weight should private statements about killing carry when the same man later reports an unknown intruder killed his wife?
