Caleb Flynn’s Mistress Texted ‘Praise God’ After He Said WHAT?!

“Praise God.” That’s what Alleigha Botner texted Caleb Flynn after he allegedly told her he’d smile the whole time killing his wife. Botner was 23 when those messages started — a worship leader at the same church the Flynns attended. She spent more than four hours on the witness stand reading twelve months of texts to a Miami County jury, and by the time she reached her July 2025 messages, she was using Flynn’s words, his nickname for Ashley, and his framing of Ashley’s death as their way out.

Flynn is charged with aggravated murder in the death of Ashley Flynn, 37, shot twice in the back of the head in their Tipp City, Ohio home on February 16, 2026. Prosecutors allege he staged a burglary. His defense says there is no recovered weapon and no eyewitness.

According to Botner’s testimony, Flynn started texting that he wanted Ashley dead — if it wouldn’t send him to hell, he’d do it in a heartbeat. He asked Botner to hire someone. When she said they needed a solution, he told her he’d never been joking. Every time she pushed for a real answer about leaving, the texts shifted — he couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat, was praying to be mauled by a bear. She stopped pushing. He introduced a 40-day spiritual fast as a timeline. He compared her following a man on social media to the sacrifice of losing his daughters. His closing line in that exchange, per testimony: “I’m not trying to manipulate you.”

The messages document five moves repeated for a year until the person receiving them started sending them back. Five months before Ashley was shot, they were coordinating the permanent deletion of everything. Cross-examination has not yet begun.
