Nevaeh Petty was four months old. Her father remembered her as a happy baby with beautiful blue eyes. She suffered catastrophic brain injuries and has now died. Bobby Conner Jr., charged in the case, already had child abuse and child neglect convictions. Nevaeh's father says he contacted Tennessee DCS numerous times about Conner being around his daughter.

In Anderson, Indiana, Keynan Santos was sentenced to 44 years and one month after Google flagged a CSAM upload and investigators found more than 600 files. He already had two felony child molestation convictions from 2015. He served eight years for those.

In Detroit, seven people were shot and three men died at an after-hours location on the west side. Police say they had already responded to seven calls at that address since January and already had an open investigation involving it.
