The Alzheimer's Association is invites you to join the fight to end Alzheimer's by participating in the Alzheimer'ss Association Walk to End Alzheimer's - Pinellas County presented by BayCare, Morton Plant Hospital, St. Anthony's Hospital and VITAS Healthcare on Oct. 3 at Poynter Park, 1000 3rd Street, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., with the Flower Ceremony/Opening at
8:45 a.m., with the Walk to follow at 9:00 a.m. The walk is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and is the  largest fundraiser for Alzheimer'ss care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Learn more and register at alz.org/walk.

On Walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer's with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony, a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.

More than 7 million Americans are living with this disease, a leading cause of death in
the United States. Additionally, nearly 13 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer's and other dementias. In Florida, there are more than 580,000 people living with the disease and 877,000 caregivers.
