In 1971 and 1972, six young Black girls and young women were killed in and around Washington, D.C. Their bodies were found along freeways in the District and Prince George’s County. The killer was never caught. The case is still open.
Carol Spinks, Darlenia Johnson, Brenda Crockett, Nenomoshia Yates, Brenda Woodard, and Diane Williams. The youngest was ten. The oldest was eighteen.
