Judge Jeannine Pratt sentenced Caleb Flynn in the Miami County Court of Common Pleas for the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. A jury convicted Flynn on all nine charges — aggravated murder, three counts of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence — with firearm specifications. Prosecutors argued Flynn shot Ashley twice in the back of the head while she slept on February 16 in their Tipp City home, then staged the scene as a break-in. Their two young daughters were in the next room. Flynn was having an 18-month affair with a church intern. The pair traded over 107,000 messages. No murder weapon was ever recovered. The defense called no witnesses and has filed notice of appeal. This is the full sentencing hearing as it happened in court.
