Two days after Mica served her husband, Pastor John Paul Miller, with divorce papers, she was found dead in a heavily forested area hours away from her home. Based on the scene, and the fact that Mica had purchased a gun en route to the location, investigators almost immediately ruled the case a suicide. However, as details about her marriage with JP came to light, people soon learned that Mica had been trapped in a relationship rife with sexual abuse, spiritual manipulation, and threats of violence. All of this culminated in some of her final words to loved ones: "If anything happens to me, JP did it."
