CSV Volunteer Voices - Murdo Morisson

I spent a few months volunteering at a half way house for ex prisoners in a small village in Leicester and then I moved to a closed unit for adolescents in Bristol. I was studying at the University of Glasgow and felt stuck in a rut and disengaged with the course so I decided to volunteer with CSV because I wanted a new experience.

Volunteering gave me life experience and I learnt how to be self-reliant, more confident in making decisions; it was a process of self discovery. The experience made me a well rounded individual and made me much more aware of what other people are going through.
