Is the history of the Troubles being re-written to shift blame away from those who killed? Is there too much talk about how we were all responsible? Are we? Writer Malachi O'Doherty debates his claims with Danny Morrison.

'The Troubles have been re-written to shift responsibility away from those who killed.' So claims journalist and writer Malachi O'Doherty. Malachi says some of the words used to describe the Troubles make him feel like "slapping people". He says it's suggested we were all to blame for what happened - that we were all part of the problem and needed to find "love and peace in our hearts". "The point of all this sermonising," he argues, "is to absolve those who did the actual killing and to make all of us responsible for what they did." What do you think of that? Is he right? Or has he got it completely wrong?
