Package produced for BBC Radio Stoke by David Sykes. "According to ancient Greek myth, Perseus, the human son of Zeus, killed the serpent haired Medusa using a polished brass shield. Since the nineteenth century, the ancient hero has proudly stood with the gorgon's severed head at Trentham Gardens. But yesterday, the twelve foot statue was taken down from his plinth ready to go to London where he'll be part of an exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art. BBC Radio Stoke's David Sykes met Michael Walker from Trentham Estate to capture the moment that Perseus came down to earth...."
