Stevenage v Tranmere
Another excerpt from Stevenage v Tranmere on 3rd April 2015
Live from Offf - Media140
Panel: Sound & Art in an Era of Flow
Polly Ullrich was a new friend and Chicago art critic who died suddenly in a car accident on Wednesday, July 6. Her feature article about sound in art in Chicago, "Making Worlds: Chicago Sound As Sculpture," in Sculpture Magazine, mentioned important figures and resources in our local community, including my work with Chicago Phonography. With publication of her article, Polly was given support to organize a panel discussion on sound art in Chicago for the annual Art Chicago exposition. She moderated with featured speakers Andrea Polli, Shawn Decker, and Christopher Janney. We were looking forward to attending the Sound Art Theories Symposium at SAIC in November. It would have been fun to continue the conversation on sound and its role in the arts. As Duncan McKenzie wrote, "Polly, we miss you already..."

Hurst Street During Gay Pride
Many thanks as ever, your recording's now on the UK Soundmap.
Behind is the fun fair, to the left is music from the Village Inn cabaret tent, and to the right is music from a dance tent. Towards the end of the recording the West Midlands Fire Brigade bring up the tail of the parade, adding sirens and air horns to the sound of the crowd. It's Gay Pride, as it is every year at the end of May, and Hurst Street is heaving with party goers. The photo was taken just a few metres further down the road in 2009.

Man City v Blackpool
I was enjoying the game too much in the first half so forgot to record the goal! I'm planning to record an audio snippet from each game until the end of the season so keep listening! Thanks for the comment incrediblekulk!
I like it. For a moment I thought the swell of intensity toward the end would end with a goal-induced explosion of euphoria.
A recording I made during the second half of the Man City v Blackpool game at the City of Manchester Stadium. The recording is of the surrounding area where I sit at home games and captures the general ambience of the immediate and surrounding crowd in the ground.

Chants from the SWFC Crowd at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup
Thanks Kate, I'm hoping to get recordings from all the SWFC games at least - would be good to get some competition an banter from other teams/fans!
Nice recording. Hey - it would be cool to get a bunch of different football chants and see which club has the best! :)
