Running out of Road, Full First Chapter
This is the full first chpater of 8 minutes play. Originally the cut off point was 5 minutes but this version has been extended to the full amount. :-)
what books could you read again and again?
I read a book in elementary school, not sure if any of you know this book, it's called, the outsiders, by someone named, S E Hinton. It's a book about 2 social groups that rival with one another. Probably one of the very few books that I have read that actually makes sense to me. Not much of a book person to be very honest.
I have read Bag of Bones by Stephen King about ten times, and I would read it again even though I can quote whole passages verbatim and know the plot inside out and backwards. The surrealism starts out gradually, and then builds until it reaches a climax, which is why I think the story is so effectively able to withdraw me smoothly from my own reality and suck me right into its universe. I even dream about the characters from that book on a number of occasions. Also, I have the audio version narrated by the man himself. He does a truly amazing job, despite what his critics would say, and he really makes the book for me. He brings his Yankee characters to life--and his ghosts!
