The Western Gateway "Will Kill Middlesbrough"

This morning on BBC Tees we're looking at a new report which has examined the potential impact that a new retail park could have on Middlesbrough town centre.

The council want to build the Western Gateway on the existing Cannon Park in what they call is a bid to ensure that Middlesbrough stays as a major shopping destination here in the North East.

The report written on behalf of the four major shopping centres in the town raises objections to plan, and our reporter David Rhodes has been taking a look at why they want to see the scheme abandoned.
