Relocated Victim: Stabber's sentence "not long enough"...

A mothers from Burslem whose son was stabbed by his best friend has told BBC Radio Stoke she thinks prison sentences aren't long enough to deter young people away from using knives.

Marjorie Thomson's 22-year-old son, Marcus, was stabbed outside their home last June following an argument over money.

His attacker was his closest friend and neighbour, 27-year-old Dale Francis -- who was known locally as 'Damien'.

A judge at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court sentenced him to 21 months behind bars after he pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding.
