Four years after a peaceful uprising in Syria sparked by the torture of children by the brutal regime of Bashar al Assad, the country has been turned into literal ruins as the world bloodiest war continues. Assad responded to that peaceful uprising through a very violent military crackdown that unleashed a civil war that even led to the emergence of ISIS or Islamic State.

Anne Daly in London on Saturday (March 14, 2015) joined many who gathered to remember the dead and protest against the slaughter of more that 200,000 people, and uprooted millions.

Anne spoke to people whose lives have been changed utterly by this brutal conflict.
