A Quarter Of The North East's Mental Health Beds Have Closed

One in four people will at some point develop a mental illness.

The BBC has discovered though that in the past five years a quarter of all mental health beds here in the North East have been shut.

630 beds have been closed that's despite our region having the highest suicide rate in the country.

So is there a link between the two statistics? David Rhodes reports. #mentalhealth
