Repatriation of Internally Displaced Persons who fled violence in Wondruba will start next week, says Juma Stephen Lugga, Chairperson of Wonduruba Community.
Lugga says Jubek State authorities will brief the IDPs about security situation on the ground and the peace agreement signed between the Army and Wonduruba Community.
Thousands of people were displaced from Wonduruba last year after heavy fighting erupted between Government forces and a rebel group allegedly affiliated to the SPLM-in Opposition.
A peace pact signed in December 2015 between the community and the SPLA unit at the area ended months of confrontations between soldiers and the local community.
