Progress made to find HIV Vaccine

Significant progress has been made to find an HIV Vaccine, Mia Mumtaz, the Strategic Interventions Adviser, #UNAIDS South Sudan Country Office has said.

There is a lot of promising research around HIV anti-body therapy and through isolating the anti-bodies that block the HIV from affecting a human cell and using that in research to understand how to develop a vaccine against #HIV.

Mumtaz says researchers have found that some of the anti-bodies can block up to 80% of the over the 200 strains of HIV.
