Should the Minister have called 38 degrees signatories 'Zombies'?

Smashing row, this! A Government Minister at the Despatch Box describes those who sign 38 degrees petitions as acting 'almost zombie-like' Not sure of he could have done more to strengthen thier hand. The traditional media doesn't seem to have picked it up - and the BBC isn't carrying it (yet) but it seems to excite some of us on the blogosphere. But it IS important as the participation of tens of thousands of people on some consultations will change the dynamics of the debate.And Ministers should take care not to rubbish them - even with qualifications!
