Dr Carl Schmidt, Tutorial Fellow in English, Balliol College, Oxford, reads The Song of the Battle of Lewes, a Middle English poem thought to have been written shortly after the battle in 1264. The poem is preserved in the 14th century British Library Miscellany, MS Harley 2253. Only the first four stanzas are given.
