Homeless death in Ennis

Some weeks back, I reported from Ennis on the sad circumstances surrounding Polish national Peter Baram and his friend, Czech national Joseph Pavelka, both of whom were living for a time in public toilets in Ennis, County Clare. The two men had alcohol problems, and were unable to access social welfare payments, making their situation all the more problematic. Last night, I returned to Ennis, where tragically 52-year-old Joseph was found dead on Saturday night. I met with Peter and heard how his friend’s death is having an impact on not just him, but the town of Ennis as a whole..
