The Voluntary Voice

In 2012, 70,000 people from all over the country and beyond signed up as volunteers at the London Olympics. From driving Usain Bolt between venues, to dancing in the opening ceremony, each played a unique part and, as Sebastian Coe said, made London 2012. But during the Games, the volunteers faced social networking restrictions and weren’t able to share their amazing stories. It is now, with their uniforms hung up, that they are meeting up in a new capacity, to share their stories, rebuild the group spirit and…sing.
