Elton John - Live from Moscow

On Monday 28 May 1979 Elton John made radio history with the first live relay from Russia to Britain on BBC Radio 1. Elton told the Radio Times: “Obviously, I’m looking forward to the trip, although with a certain amount of trepidation as socially and musically it’s a trek into uncharted regions”.
The concert from the Rossya Hall in Moscow was introduced by Andy Peebles.
