President Obiang's party wins elections in Equatorial Guinea

In Equatorial Guinea, the party of President Teodoro #Obiang Nguema won last week's local and parliamentary elections according to the presidency. Obiang's PDGE claimed "an absolute majority in all districts" without providing figures.

The polls were deemed as a sham by the opposition. Tutu Alicante is from Equatorial Guinea and is the Executive Director of EG Justice, a US based organization which promotes human rights. He says there were violations during the campaign.
