CB024-004 Write to your MP about Local Government issues

"Writing to your MP does help. Business are often worried about writing to their MP on the grounds that they do not want to create a fuss and therefore be come down on harder. I have never, in my 3 year experience, come across a case where things have got worse not better as a result of writing to their MP......... but people are worried about that because they are worried about what the reaction of the local officer might be and the local officer might say 'oh don't write to your MP I wouldn't do that ' but there is a reason they say that. It's because they don't want their decision to be scrutinised by people who are more senior. So I would highly recommend getting your MP involved." Matthew Hancock MP
