Open House Adventure: Early morning journey to the Gherkin

Once a year around eight hundred buildings in London, usually out of bounds for the casual visitor, fling open their doors to the general public. Despite living in London for over half a decade, and being ever so slightly too interested in architecture for a visually impaired person, I had never made it through a single Open House doorway.
