Open House Adventure: Up and down the Gherkin

After three long hours in a comparatively short queue, made slightly easier by the excellent company around me, I finally got to step inside the lobby of the building formerly known as Swiss Re, but recognized by most as the Gherkin. In relatively short order Vance and I were whisked to the glassy dome set thirty nine floors above the City's pavements for views across London.
