Network Rail's Craig Bowman

Network Rail bosses are asking locals to bear with them as frustration grows over the state of the A7 between Galashiels and Newtongrange.

The company has taken on 11 additional road sweepers and 5 vehicle cleaners to reduce the amount of mud on the road coming from the Borders Railway works.
