Is it okay to slap your friend's bottom?

We were talking about greetings on the show yesterday - we asked how do you prefer to be greeted? A handshake, an embracing hug... A kiss on the cheek...

We received a text from Chris - which said:

"My pal Trevor and I greet each other with a firm open handed pat on the buttocks. It's also a nice way of congratulating someone on a job well done."

We weren't sure how that notion would go down with our colleagues here at BBC Radio Cumbria - so we politely asked Producer Tom if he would go a greet Gordon Swindlehurst after his show yesterday - and congratulate him on a show well done...

Poor Tom...
