Le coucou viant nous visitai Le mais d’avril, et pour l’etai. Et nous l’oué tous les jours criyai Coucou! Coucou!
Les aut’e mouissons qu’nous oué chantai Sont dans les branques, et arraitai, Mais chais en vol qu’nous oué criyai Coucou! Coucou!
Quand les aut’ mouissons ont bâti, I’ va paonde sais oeus dans leux nid Et leux crie, quand il est fini, Coucou! Coucou!

The Cuckoo comes and visits us In the month of April, and for the summer. And we hear it every day calling Cuckoo! Cuckoo!
The other birds that we hear singing Are in the branches, and stopped, But it’s in flight that we hear it calling Cuckoo! Cuckoo!
When the other birds have built, It goes and lays its eggs in their nests And calls out to them, when it is finished, Cuckoo! Cuckoo!
