Alison Seabeck talks to Radio Plymouth about the Mesothelioma Bill

A Plymouth MP says a bill which is set to provide compensation to sufferers of an asbestos related cancer doesn't go far enough and isn't good enough for her constituents.
The Mesothelioma Bill passed through the House of Commons last night and is on course to become law.
It will provide three hundred and fifty million pounds over ten years to 3000 victims - the idea is to help those who haven't been able to trace an employer or insurer to make a claim.
The compensation will set at 75% of the average civil claim and only those diognosed after July 25th 2012 will qualify.
During the debate the Minister of State for Disabled People, Mike Penning, told the commons he accepted the bill was not perfect but argued any amendments would slow down the bill and prevent people who need compensation getting it.
Plymouth Moor View MP, Alison Seabeck told Marcus Liddell she's pleased there'll be compensation for some but says the bill doesn't go far enough.
